Rent a car for DoorDash and delivery in Charlotte

Delivery runs up the miles, so we publish them: 1,400 a week included, $0.15 a mile after that.

Delivery drivers put more miles on a car than rideshare drivers do, which is exactly why you should know the mileage terms before you sign. Ours are on this page: 1,400 miles a week included and $0.15 for each mile beyond that. Run DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, Instacart, Shipt and Spark on the same car, all week.

Your weekly math
Typical gig earnings/week$1,250
Weekly rent−$370
Gas (avg)−$140
Your own commercial policy−$55

Estimates only. Gas and insurance costs vary by driver, vehicle and coverage. Your own commercial coverage is required and is your cost.

1,400 miles a week included — about 200 a day, with a flat $0.15 a mile after that. No hidden soft cap.

Maintenance included — delivery eats brakes and tires. That is our bill, not yours.

Stack every app — DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, Instacart, Shipt, Spark, Veho, Amazon Flex. Multi-app all you want.

$370/week, tax included — cheaper than the Charlotte Marketplace average, and you get a receipt.

Common questions

Is there a mileage cap?+
There is a published allowance: 1,400 miles a week are included and each mile beyond that is $0.15. Your odometer is recorded at pickup and at return.
Do delivery platforms provide insurance?+
Mostly no, and this trips people up. DoorDash provides only limited coverage while you are actively on a delivery, and Amazon Flex terms differ again. You are required to carry your own commercial policy, and we verify it before you get the keys. Ask us and we will point you to agents who quote gig-driver policies.
Can I do delivery and rideshare on the same rental?+
Yes, and most of our drivers do. Rideshare mornings, delivery nights.
Do I need a specific type of car for delivery?+
Any of our cars work for delivery. Rideshare has stricter model-year rules, so if you plan to do both, pick a rideshare-eligible car — the fleet page filters for it.
How much do delivery drivers actually clear?+
Depends entirely on hours and market. Our weekly math widget on this page uses conservative Charlotte numbers so you can run it yourself. Do not trust anyone who promises you a number.
